Loughborough Students’ Union (LSU) is seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Senior Leadership Team as Associate Director of Finance, at an exciting point in our development.

This role offers the opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership within a values-led, student-focused organisation. As Associate Director of Finance, you will work closely with the CEO, COO, senior colleagues and Trustees to ensure strong financial governance, long-term sustainability and high-quality management information that supports confident decision-making.

You will bring professional expertise, sound judgement and a collaborative approach, helping to strengthen financial controls, improve systems and processes, and support colleagues across the organisation to manage resources effectively. Alongside strategic input, you will lead and develop a small finance team and act as a trusted adviser at senior and Board level.

This is a part-time role (22 hours per week, 0.6 FTE) and may suit an experienced finance professional looking to balance senior-level responsibility with flexibility, or someone seeking to apply their expertise within the higher education or charity sector.

The role is offered on pay scale 11, point 37, with a salary of £46,952 – £51,288 per annum (pro-rata for part-time appointments), depending on experience. Offers will be made at a pay point appropriate to the skills and experience of the successful candidate. Appointments made prior to 1 April will be eligible to be awarded an increment in accordance with the annual increment process.
